Nippon Tsubaki - Sasanqua Meikan, 1998, p.232 with colour photo; English translation p.161. Flowers mid-season. Leaves elliptic, medium size, flat. Upright, vigorous growth. A natural seedling of Chōchidori. Originated by Yoshihiko Mishima, released by Nobuo Sasai in 1979.
