No descrip­tion. van Houtte, 1841, Catalogue, 7:4: White, double, centre yellowish. van Houtte Catalogue, 1846-1847, 27:21: White, formal double; centre yellowish, lightly striped with green. Berlèse, 1849, Annales de la Société Central d’Horticulture de France, vol.40, p.278: Flower, 9-10 cm across, rose form or peony form, white. Petals numerous, channelled, full, sometimes twisted, notched, close set, sometimes abortive stamens are displayed in the centre. Originated in Italy.
