ACS Registration #2953. The Camellia Journal,70(3):30 with color photo. American Camellia Yearbook, 2015, p. 140 with color photo and description. This 12-year-old C. reticulata chance seed-ling first bloomed in 2010. It was originated by E. Huyln Smith of Valdosta, Georgia, USA and registered and propagated by Randolph Maphis of Tallahassee, Florida, USA. Bloom: The large to very large sized 11.4cm x 7cm (treated 17.8cm x 9.5cm) semi-double to full peony form flower is medium pink to darker pink. It has gold anthers and white filaments. The bloom falls in one piece with heavy petal texture and is long lasting. The flower color and form varies from bloom to bloom on the same plant. The placement and number of stamens varies with each bloom and many have petaloids mixed with stamens. Plant: The plant habit is upright and open. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for exhibition use. Leaf: The medium green leaves average 12cm x 7cm with medium serration. Bloom season: Late.
