Australian Botanical and Horticultural Society Report, 1849, invalidly as ‘Clio’. Macarthur’s notebook, ca.1852: Deep rose colour. Small size like Paeoniiflora but darker. Middling. Very abundant flowerer. Originated By Macarthur, Camden Park, N.S.W., Aus­tralia. (Believed extinct.)
