Dwarf Shishi White (C. sasanqua) ACS, Reg. No.2442. American Camellia Yearbook, 1997,p2. with color photo in color inset 4. A miniature, white, semidouble, C.sasanqua sport of 'Dwarf Shishi', early. Originated by Dr. William L.Ackerman, Ashton, MD and propagated by Nuccio's Nurseries, Altadena, CA. Firstobserved in 1986; flowered on propagation 10 years and has bloomed true atleast 5 years on 4 plants. Average size bloom is 1 112" wide and 112"deep with 10 petals, 2 petaloid, pale yellow anthers and creamy whitefilaments. Plant growth is spreading, dense and slow with dark green leavesmeasuring 2 1/4" long and 7/8" wide.
