A seedling of unknown age and parentage which was originally propagated by a nurseryman named Hopkins at Anderson, California, and later propagated by Peterson Nursery in Chico, California, but no wide distribution was ever made of the variety which is classified as a miniature. Plant growth habit is upright and dense, and rapid in rate. The dark green leaves average 4½ inches in length and 2¼ inches in width. The semidouble to peony-form flowers are soft pink with occasional streak, spot or petal of red, and are 2¾ inches in diameter and 1½ inches in depth. Stamens are yellow. Flowering season is midseason to late.
