in 2020. ACS Registration #3213. This 13 year-old C. japonica chance seedling of 'Tar Baby' first bloomed in
2010. It was originated, registered and propagated by Pat B. Johnson of Cairo,
Georgia, USA. 【Bloom】 The large sized 11.4cm x 5.1cm semidouble to anemone form flower is
red with purple edging with yellow anthers and pink filaments. This cultivar is
a profuse bloomer, falls in one piece, is long lasting, has heavy petal texture
and has consistent form. 【Plant】 The plant habit is upright and dense. The growth rate is average.
The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition. 【Leaf】
The dark green leaves average 7.6cm x 3.8cm with low serration. 【Bloom season】 Midseason to late.
