American Camellia Yearbook, 1960, p.205, Reg. No.514: A 10 year old seedling that first bloomed 1958. Originated by John Andsey, Sylmar, California, USA. Plant growth is upright and dense. The light green leaves average 7 cm x 4.5 cm. The deep red, anemone form flower is 5 cm across x 2 cm deep with 8 petals and 60 petaloids in a tight centre. Blooms early to mid-season.
