Susan Grooms (C. japonica). published in American Camellia Yearbook 2021, p. 103. Registered in 2021. ACS Registration #3250. A 11 year old chance seedling of unknown parents. first bloomed in 2008. It was registered and originated by Clarence & Lillian Gordy from Ocala, Florida, USA. Flowers blush pink with highlights of dark pink random stripes on a few of the petals; all petals have tiny pink pixels which provide the overall light pink color of the flower with yellow anthers and white filaments, medium to large size, 10.8 cm in diameter, 5.1 cm in depth, rich deep rose red. Leaf 7.6-8.9 cm long, 3.8-4.4 cm wide. Plant growth rate average, upright, medium density growth. Bloom mid-season to late.
