Xiangyun

Xiangyun (C. sasanqua). China Regn. #2020-323. China Flowers & Horticulture, 2020, No.24, p.42.  This cultivar was bred by Wang Xiangnan Chen Yongzhong and Wang Rui et al. of Hunan Academy of Forestry, selected from the seedlings of Camellia sasanqua. Flowered for the first time in December 2016. The flower is pink, pan-purple tone, sweet and fragrant, semi-double to loose peony, medium to large flower, flower diameter 8.5～10.5cm, 15～30 petals, 3～4 outer large petals, broad oval , Slightly wrinkled, wavy edge, concave apex, small petals in the middle part of semi-upright twist, stamens yellow, scattered, ovary coat, strong, densely blooming. The leaves are medium green, leathery, bright, broad-elliptic, rounded and short at the apex, slightly rounded at the base, 5-6 cm long, 2.5-3.5 cm wide, and shallow teeth. The plants are more open and grow vigorously. Bloom from November to January next year.

湘芸 Camellia sasanqua 'Xiangyun' 中国茶花登录号：2020-323。《中国花卉园艺》2020年第24期42页。该品种由湖南省林业科学院王湘南、陈永忠、王瑞等培育，系由茶梅品种实生苗中选育而得。2016年12月首次开花。花朵粉红色，泛紫色调，具甜芳香，半重瓣至松散牡丹型，中到大型花，花径8.5～10.5cm，花瓣15～30枚，外部大花瓣3～4轮，阔卵圆形，略皱，边缘波浪状，先端凹，中部小花瓣半直立扭曲，雄蕊黄色，散生状，子房被毛，能结实，开花稠密。叶片中等绿色，革质，光亮，阔椭圆形，先端较圆短，基部略圆，叶长5～6 cm，宽2.5～3.5 cm，叶齿浅。植株较开张，生长旺盛。花期11月至翌年1月。
