Abbott's Folly. (C. hybrid). Australian Regn. No. 475.  Applicant and originator: Keith Abbott, 109 West Riverton Drive, Rossmoyne, Western Australia 6148. A controlled cross between C. hybrid 'Margaret Waterhouse', seed parent and C. hiemalis 'Kanjiro', pollen parent. First flowered 1989. A formal double flower of 53 petals, light lavender pink RHS 63D, 70 mm x 35 mm. Flowers mid-season to late on a compact plant of medium growth. Leaves matt, green, elliptic, fine serrations, apex pointed, 80 mm x 40 mm. Petals firmly overlaid. Flowers abundantly. Flowers shed whole, Colour and form, together with prolific flowering, make it an ideal garden plant. Application received 10 November 1996 from Western Australia Branch, A.C.R.S.
