New Zealand Camellia Bulletin, vol.XIII, No.6, p.23, 1984, Reg. No.206: A chance seedling with hybrid characteristics raised by T. Leonard, Te Puke. It first flowered 1980, and has spreading, open growth of medium rate. Leaves are 8.5 cm long by 4 cm wide. The flowers are peony form, up to 14.5 cm across and 5.5 cm deep. They have 14 petals, about 22 petaloids, pink filaments and anthers. The petals are rose pink and show deeper veining. (RHS, Colour Chart 73B).
