Wada, 1941, Japanese Garden Treasures, p.28: The biggest white single in existence, introduced by Wada; flowers pure white, broadly campanulate, with many imbricated petals of great substance and perfect beauty. Flowers mid-season. Originated in Japan by Wada. It was listed in the Wada, 1937 catalogue, p.37, as a sasanqua with the description: Large flowering, single white, with waxy, broad, thick, well shaped petals. Leaves and habit like a C.japonica.
