Alice Evelyn. (C. hybrid). Australian Regn. No. 567. Applicant and originator, Marjorie Baker, 14 Fairlie Avenue, Macleod, Victoria, 3085. A chance seedling of C. hybrid 'Snow Drop' that first flowered in 1992. The miniature single cup-shaped flower has 6 petals, is white at the centre of the flower shading to pale pink at the edge of the petals. 40 mm x 15 mm. Flowers mid-season to late on a dwarf, dense, slow-growing plant. Leaves dark green, matt, keeled, oblong, 60 mm x 30 mm. Stamens arranged in a column. Flowers fall whole. Flowers at leaf apices. Application received from Camellias Victoria Inc in September 2005. Named after the mother of Jack Baker (husband of applicant).
