» English Description
Amelia Palacios (C. japonica). First published in magazine of
Sociedad Española de la Camelia 2021, Camelia 38:48, with colour photos. Originated
by Begoña Franco and José Torres in Finca Chazo (Boiro, Spain), and registered
by Estación Fitopatolóxica Areeiro (Deputación de Pontevedra, Galicia, SPAIN). A
seedling from C. japonica. FLOWER: large size, 10-12 cm in
diameter and 4-5 cm depth; double or rose form flowers, pink-red color (47A-B
or 53B-C RHSCC); homogeneous color, occasionally
central white stripe on some petal. 50-70 petals rounded, elliptical and
irregular with smooth, incised in a point or slightly wavy margin; occasional
petaloids up to 15, pink-red striped with lighter shades of pink and White with
disordered arrangement; occasional and in variable number sta,ems, up to 40,
with filament color cream and reddish; LEAF: medium size, 7.5-9.5 cm length and 4-6
cm width, medium bright green, elliptical to ovate, with serrate margin,
pointed apex and acute-rounded base.
PLANT: bushy plant with medium and semi-open growth habit.
Medium season blooming period, it begins in January and continue until May or
June. Flower falls complete. Other data:

21st century, born in Pontevedra in 1986, of early linking to the world of art,
who finds teachers and references in painting, design and architecture in her
family.
