ACRS, 1974, Camellia News, No.55, p.36, Reg. No.165: Originated by F.S. Tuckfield, Berwick, Victoria, Seed parent ‘Cornelian’, (Damanao), pollen parent unknown. First flowered 1970. The 15-17 cm semi-double flowers are bright red with a lighter tone to the outer edge. Blooms mid-season. Growth habit is upright, dense, vigorous and floriferous, with typical reticulate, dark green, lanceolate leaves, 11.4 cm x 4.8 cm, a sharp apex and pronounced serrations.
