Ann Walton (C. japonica) ACS, Reg. No.2504. American Camellia Yearbook, 1999, p4, with color photo p.c.2.Awhite, formal double C. japonica ('Homeyer #103' x 'CharlieBettes'), blooming mid-season to late. Originated by Marvin Jernigan of WarnerRobins, GA and propagated by Massee Lane Gardens, Fort Valley, GA. The12-year-old seedling first bloomed in 1990. Flower is 5" wide and 2"deep with 52 petals, white anthers and filaments. Plant growth is upright andaverage. It is a profuse bloomer and the long-lasting blooms have heavy petaltexture. Voted best seedling of show.
