‘Annette Riddle’ (C. japonica), International Camellia Journal, 2016, p. 130 European Reg. No. 117. Open pollinated seed from unknown parents. Originated in the U.K. by Malcolm Pharoah, at Marwood Hill Gardens, Barnstaple, Devon. First flowered 1990 at circa 14 years. An upright habit, with medium growth rate. Blooms midseason; spent blooms fall whole. A medium-sized, flat, pale pink semi-double flower; tubular stamens with yellow anthers and filaments. Approximately 26 petals with petaloids. RHS Colour Chart red group 56A. Leaves dark green, twisted. Flower buds round, green. Named for a friend of the owner of Marwood Hill Gardens.
