ACRS, 1980, Camellia News, No.75, p.24, Reg. No.231: Originated by Alice Spragg, Sutherland, N.S.W., Australia. A sun tolerant chance seedling, first bloomed 1974. The plant has an upright, open habit of growth, with mid-green, 3 cm x 1.5 cm, leaves. The semi-double, 7.5-8 cm, deep red flowers are produced early to mid-season.
