Seibundō Shinkōsha 1979, Senchinshū, p.10 colour photo, p.197, description: Flower, soft pink with fuchsia tones, cup-shaped single, 7 broad petals with creped and fluted margins, central stamen cluster in a ring; medium size. Mid-season flower­ing. Leaves, narrowly elliptic to elliptic, small, smooth surface, clear venation, sharply and shallowly serrate. Vigorous, upright growth. Originated by Shigeichi Hirano in 1977. Synonym: ‘Morning Sun’. A seedling from a C.saluenensis. From Kanagawa Prefecture.
