Asukagoshiki

Seibundō Shinkōsha, 1979, Senchinshū, p.11, colour photo, p.198, description: Flower, Medium to large size, fine red lines and speckles on a base colour varying from white to pale red, occasionally a white flower, semi­double, small, compact column of stamens. Flower very similar to Tricolor, (‘Ezo-nishiki’),10-­11 cm wide, mid-seasom flowering. Leaves, medium to large, elliptical, caudate apex, twisted and wavy. Growth habit vigorous and erect. A cultivar from a private family in Kashiwara City, Nara Prefecture, Japan. Named and released by Ikuo Nishihata in 1967.
