Yokoyama & Kirino, 1989, Nihon no Chinka, p.338, colour photo and description: Large size, semi-double, with 3 irregular rows of fluted and twisted petals, white ground with pink and red stripes. Stamens a little irregular, filaments light yellow, anthers gold. Flowers mid-season to late. Leaves elliptic to obovate, mid-green, apices acute, margins serrate. Originated in Izu-ōshima, Japan by Takeo Ogawa, from the cross C.japonica Shokkō-nishiki x C.x williamsii Margaret Waterhouse.
