Baize Taohong

Baize Taohong (C. reticulata). China Regn. #2014-139. China Flowers & Horticulture, 2014, No.12, p.50. Flowers rose form, deep peach red, 11-12 cm diameter, petals 16-20 in 3 whorls, ruffled, emarginate, outer petals large, stamens divided into 3-8 bundles in the center. Leaves elliptic, 9-11 cm long, 4-5.5 cm wide, apices acuminate, bases cuneate to broad cuneate, blade flat, margins serrate. Flowers mid-season.

百泽桃红 Camellia reticulata ‘Baize Taohong’ 中国登录号：2014-139，《中国花卉园艺》2014年第12期50页。由冯宝钧命名，云南省楚雄市百泽茶兰园的杨金龙培育并登录。该品种为云南山茶品种‘凤山茶’自然授粉结实的后代中选育。2002年播种，2010年始花。花深桃红色，玫瑰型，花径13～14厘米，花瓣23～26枚，4轮着生，先端凹缺，波状，外轮花瓣大，向内渐小，雄蕊部分瓣化为花瓣，可见瓣化痕迹，残留雄蕊分束集于花心，雌蕊退化，不能结实。叶椭圆形至卵圆形，长9～10.5厘米，宽3～5.5厘米，先端渐尖至尾尖，基部楔形，叶边缘微向外反卷。枝条软，下垂。花期12月至翌年1月。
