Banse

Seibundō Shinkōsha, 1979, Senchinshū, p.122, colour photo, p.240, description: A very small size, 5 petalled single with a soft pink background, covered with a peppering and streaks of deep pink, a brush-like stamen cluster, deep yellow anthers. Mid-sea­son flowering. Leaves, small, broad-elliptic, mid-green, apex acuminate, base obtuse, petioles hairy; plant bushy. Different reading: ‘Bansei’. Originated in Yamagata Prefecture, Japan.
