Barbara Dooley (C. japonica). American Camellia Yearbook, 2023, p.89. Registered in 2023. ACS Registration #3347. It was originated and registered by Gene Phillips from Gene's Nursery, Savannah,Georgia, USA. A 14-year-old chance seedling of 'Royal Velvet' x 'Francis Eugene Phillips'. It was first bloomed in 2017. Flower anemone form with 12 petals and 30 or more petaloids, light red with yellow anthers and pink filaments, large size, 10.2 - 11.4 cm in diameter. Leaf dark green, 10.2 cm long and 5.1 cm wide. Plant vigorous growth rate, upright, dense growth. Bloom mid-season to late.
