ACS Registration #3079. This 19-year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 2005. It was originated, registered, and propagated by Laura Barnard of St. Elmo, Alabama. Bloom: The large sized 12.7cm x 6.35cm semidouble form flower is deep red. It has gold anthers.This profuse bloomer falls in one piece, is long lasting, and has consistent form. Plant: The plant habit is upright. The growth rate is slow. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. Leaf: The dark green leaves average 7.62cm x 4.445cm with low serration. Bloom season: Midseason to late.
