Barney's Nina      (C. japonica)   Registered in 2020. ACS Registration #3179. This 20 year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 2013. It was originated and propagated by N. C. Barnard of St. Elmo, Alabama and registered by Laura Barnard of St. Elmo, Alabama, USA. Bloom The medium to large sized 10.2cm x 6.4cm full peony form flower is medium pink with yellow anthers and white filaments. This cultivar is a profuse bloomer, falls in one piece, is long lasting and has consistent form. Plant The plant habit is upright. The growth rate is slow. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition. Leaf The dark green leaves average 10.2cm x 3.8cm with low serration. Bloom season Late.
