"Camellias in Kurume", ICS Congress, Kurume 2010, p.79 with colour photo. Selected from the seedlings of C. japonica cultivar by Tomita Kunitake and named by Kairyoen Co. (Saitama Pref.) in 1992. Private mother tree garden in Kusano machi, Kurume. Plant upright. Leaf large size, oblong. Flower purplish red, medium to large size, lotus form, semi-double. Androecium is a tubular stamen cluster. Bloom season December to February.

園芸品種の実生より國武富太が育成し、改良園（埼玉県）が1992年に命名した。所在地：久留米市草野町の個人母樹園。樹姿：立性。葉形：長楕円形で大型。花 ：蓮華咲きの八重、中～大輪、花弁は藤紅色雄しべは筒芯。開花期：12月～２月。
