Japanese Camellia Society, 2010. Latest Illustrated Book of Japanese Camellias, (Camellias of Japan), p.238 with colour photo; Large, pink, occasionally with white blotches, flat open single. Filaments pale yellow, ume-jin (apricot-type stamen ring). Flowers mid-season to late. Leaves elliptic. Spreading, vigorous growth. A cross of Osaruku x Hatsuwarai made by Tomoya Nishimura, Kumamoto Pref., Japan. Recognised by the Higo Society in 1999
