American Camellia Yearbook, 1984, p.176, Reg. No.1940: A very large, salmon red, loose, peony form C.japonica, (Kramer’s Supreme x All American Variegated). Flowers mid-season to late. Originated by Ted Alfter, California, USA. The 10 year old seedling frst bloomed 1979. Average sized flowers, 15 cm across by 5-7.5 cm deep with 40-50 petals. Plant growth is upright, dense and rapid in rate with dark green leaves, 7.5-10 cm long by 6-7.5 cm wide.
