BettyHorton. (C. japonica). Registeredin 2019. ACS Registration #3144. This 11-year-old C. japonica chanceseedling first bloomed in 2014. It was originated, registered and propagated byPat B. Johnson of Cairo, Georgia. Bloom: The large sized 11.4 cm x 3.8 cm formal double formflower is light mauve pink shading to red on the outer petals. This profusebloomer is long lasting with heavy petal texture, consistent form and falls inone piece. Plant: Theplant habit is upright and dense. The growth rate is slow. The plant issuitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. Leaf: The dark green leaves average 11.4cm x 5.1cm with low serration. Bloomseason: Early to midseason.
