» English Description

Beulah B. Bobe (C.  japonica), ACS, Reg. No.2544.  American Camellia Yearbook, 2001,p93, color photo p.c13. This ten-year-old chance C. japonica : seedling first bloomed in1993 and was originated by WalterHomeyer of Macon, GA and propagated by Marvin Jernigan and Massee Lane, Fort Valley,GA. Bloom: This pink semidouble, rose form double flower has whiteanthers, white filaments and 24 petals. Flowers measure 5 x 2 inches untreated.Won several best seeding awards. Plants: Upright with average spreadinggrowth and landscape possibilities. Blooms profusely midseason to late; bloomsfall in one piece. Blooms show good substance and heavy petal texture withconsistent form. Leaf: Dark green leaves are 4 x 2.50 inches.
