[Variety Number] Non-major Crop Variety Registration No. GPD Tea Tree (2024)430014. [Variety Origin] Selected from the natural hybrid progeny of 'Bixiangzao' as a single plant by Tea Research Institute of Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences. [Characteristics] Shrub type, medium leaf type, early growing species. The tree posture is open, the growth potential is strong, the branching part is medium, the branching density is medium. Leaf blade attachment state upward slanting, long oval, 11.5 cm long, 3.9 cm wide, leaf color dark green, leaf tip acuminate. In Changsha area, the exploitation period is generally in the middle and early March, and the blooming period of one bud and two leaves is generally in the middle and late March; the germination density is dense, and the velvet hair is medium; the length of one bud and three leaves is 6.8 centimeters, and the weight of one bud and three leaves in one hundred buds is 77.9 grams. Flowering period is from mid-October to mid-November every year, the petals are white, the ovary has velvet, the pistil is higher than the stamen. Spring tea bud two leaves biochemical samples containing tea polyphenols 23.8%, amino acids 4.0%, caffeine 4.1%, water leachate 39.3%. Suitable for green tea and black tea. For green tea, the soup color is tender green and bright, the aroma is clear and fragrant, with floral flavor, the taste is fresh and mellow, and the leaf bottom is yellow-green and bright; for black tea, the soup color is red and bright, the aroma is sweet and fruity, and the taste is strong and mellow. The first growth cycle mu yield of one bud and two leaves 935 kg of fresh leaves, 146% higher than the control 'Fuding Dabaicha'; the second growth cycle mu yield 1196 kg, 153% higher than the control 'Fuding Dabaicha'. It is moderately resistant to tea cloudy leaf blight, tea anthracnose and tea cake disease, moderately resistant to false-eye small green leafhopper, tea orange mite and coffee small clawed mite, and has strong cold resistance and drought resistance.
