Fendig, 1953, American Camellia Catalogue; American Camellia Yearbook, 1954, p.304, Reg. No.190: A 7 year old chance seedling; originated by David L. Feathers, Lafayette, California, USA, that first bloomed 1952. Plant growth is open and slow with dark green leaves, 11 cm long by 5 cm wide. Flower buds are pointed, similar to ‘Donckelaeri’ (Masayoshi) buds in size and form. The flowers are light, dawn pink, (RHS,CC,523/3) in colour, semi-double with 13 petals. The flower is about 12.5 cm across. Flowers from early to mid -season .
