Brenda Beach (C. japonica) ACS, Reg. No.2368. American Camellia Yearbook, 1996,p1. with color photo in color inset 2. A large, blush pink mottled withshades of medium pink, semidouble C. japonica chance seedling,mid-season to late. Originated and propagated by Miles A. Beach, Mt. Pleasant,sc. The 9-year-old seedling first bloomed in 1991. Average size flower,untreated, is 5" wide and 1 1/2" deep with 18 petals and 8 petaloids.Chemically treated bloom measures 6" wide and 1 1/2" deep with 18petals and 10 petaloid. Plant growth is upright and Vigorous with dark greenleaves measuring 3 1/2" long and 1 1/2" wide.
