This 10-year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 2011. It was originated by C.M. and Lillian Gordy of Ocala, Florida, USA, registered by C. Allen Favrot of New Orleans, Louisiana, USA and propagated by Tommy Alden of Bryon, Georgia, USA. Bloom: The large sized 11.4cm x 6.3cm (treated 12.7cm x 7cm) semi-double form flower is dark red. It has gold anthers and pink filaments. This profuse bloomer falls in one piece. Plant: The plant habit is upright. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. Leaf: The dark green leaves average 7.6cm x 3.8cm with medium serration. Bloom season: Midseason to late.
