Campanario (C. hybrid). First published in Camellia, 2017, 31:30, the magazine of Sociedad Española de la Camelia. Originated by Begoña Franco Paz from seed of C. tsaii in Finca Chazo, Boiro, A Coruña (Spain). Registered by Estación Fitopatolóxica Areeiro, Pontevedra, Spain. FLOWER:Size: miniature, 3.5-4.5 cm in diameter and 2.5-3 cm deep. Colour: fainted rose 62B (RHS color chart), fading to almost white from base to margin. Shape: simple. Petals: 5 to 6, rounded edges and slightly wavy. Stamens:40-50, with tubular arrangement and white filaments. LEAF:Size: small, 5-6.5 cm long and 3-3.5 cm wide, Colour: medium green, dull and wavy. The new shoots are reddish in color. Shape: lanceolate to elliptical. Margin: serrate. Apex: pointed to acuminate. Base: obtuse to rounded. PLANT: Blooming period: early season, it begins at the end of December and it extends until the end of March or April. Habit: bushy and pendular with medium growth rate. Other data: very floriferous. It has participated in several camellia exhibitions in Galicia since 2015. First bloom in 2002.
