Capricho. (Camellia hybrid). Published in magazine of Sociedad Española de la Camelia, Camelia 2018, 33:41. Origin of the variety: obtained by Begoña Franco in Finca Chazo, Boiro, A Coruña Spain). Registered by Estación Fitopatolóxica Areeiro, Pontevedra, Spain. FLOWER: Size: miniature, 4-6 cm in diameter and 3-4 cm in depth. Colour: white striped and dotted with pink (54 B and 53 C-D, RHS color chart). Shape: semi-double. Petals: from 15 to 20, elliptical, with cordated margin. Petaloids: scarce, 1 to 3. Stamens: few, from 1 to 7, scattered, with cream colored filaments. LEAF: Size: small-medium, 7-9 cm long and 3- 3.5 cm wide. Colour: medium green. Shape: elliptical to lanceolate. Margin: serrate. Apex: acuminate. Base: acute. PLANT: bushy, semi-open habit growth and medium growth rate. Blooming period: mid season, it begins in January and ends in April.
