ACS, Aug. 1995, The Camellia Journal, vol.50, No.3, p.36, Reg. No.2332: Medium size, pale pink with deeper pink outer petals, formal double C.japonica chance seedling. Blooms mid-season to late. Originated in the USA by Elizabeth R. Scott, Aiken, South Carolina. ACS 1995, American Camellia Yearbook, p.3 with colour photo: The 19 year old seedling first flowered 1983. Average flower size is 8.5 cm across x 5 cm deep with 63 petals. Blooms occasionally will have a small red dot or stripe, and outer petals stand up, creating a cup form. Plant growth is upright and vigorous with dark green leaves 11 cm long x 5.5 cm wide.
