Watanabe. 1970, Kyōto Engei Kurabu, Tsubaki Tokushū, No.10, p.116; Seibundō Shinkōsha, 1979, Senchinshū, p.230: Red perpendicular streaks on a white ground, campanulate single. Stamens a compact, central cylinder. Medium size. Mid-season flowering. Leaves, elliptic, medium size. Originated in the Chūbu District, Japan. A chance seedling, originated and released by Toshiaki Kosaki.
