Christian Pink. (C. japonica). Australian Reg. No. 461.  Applicant: K. Strudwick, 2 The Crescent, Crafers, South Australia 5152. Originator F Melville.  Sport of C. japonica 'Ochroleuca'. First flowered 1970 and remained true since. The elegans form flower has pink centre petaloids, pale-pink petals, with deep-pink striations on the edges of all petals. RHS 65 B - D, 110 mm x 65 mm. Flowers freely mid-season to late on an upright bushy plant. Leaves dark-green, glossy, oval, elliptic serrated margins, pointed apex, 120 mm x 50 mm. Flowers shed whole.
