Chunxiao

Chunxiao (C. reticulata hybrid). China Regn. #2019-282. China Flowers & Horticulture, 2019, No.10, p.52. Named by You Muxian and registered by Moxian Garden Engineering Company in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. A hybrid using John Wang’s WW4 as seed parent and 'Larry Piet' as pollen parent. Flowers red to bright red, double to completely double form, large to very large size, 12.5-13.0 cm in diameter, 30-35 large outer petals, arranged in 5-6 rounds, petals long obovate, apex slightly wrinkled, and small petals in the center huddled into a ball. Leaves medium green, thick, elliptic, 8.0-9.0 cm long, 4.0-5.0 cm wide, with raised midrib, lateral veins concave, base cuneate, and margins with dense and sharp serrate. Plants open and growing vigorously. Flowering period from the end of January to March.

春晓Camellia ‘ Chunxiao’. 中国茶花登录号：2019-282。《中国花卉园艺》2019年第10期52页。由游慕贤命名，王大庄、游鸣飞、姜建生培育，浙江省金华市莫闲园林工程公司登录。本品种通过王大庄 WW4杂交种 x ‘拉丽皮特’（C. reticulata ‘Larry Piet’）杂交组合得到的。花红色至艳红色，玫瑰重瓣至完全重瓣型，大到巨型花，花径12.5～13.0 cm，外部大花瓣30～35枚，呈5～6轮有序排列，花瓣长倒卵形，外翻，先端略皱，中部小花瓣合抱成球。叶片中等绿色，厚革质，椭圆形，长8.0～9.0 cm，宽4.0～5.0 cm，中脉凸起，侧脉凹陷，基部楔形，边缘叶齿密而尖。植株开张，生长旺盛。花期1月底至3月。
