Petals: retuse, about 4.5 cm long x 4 cm broad, approximately 12 segments, conspicuous veining, undulate, firm texture. Centre of flower a mass of incomplete petals and large petaloids hiding short stamens. Mid-season flowering. Leaves: bases rounded, near cordate, tending to curve down at apex and base, dull, dark green, heavily coriaceous, downward pointing tips, broad serrations, light venation. Originated in USA.
