SCCS., 1958, Camellia Nomenclature, p.27: Coral to salmon red. Large anemone form with irregular petals. Medium, upright growth. Mid-season to late blooming. Originated by Harvey Short, La Mesa, California, USA as a 10 year old chance seedling from Mrs Freeman Weiss that first bloomed 1957. Sport: Coral Reefs Variegated.
