American Camellia Yearbook, 2003, p.61, colour photo p.c2, Reg. No.2606. A 12 year old chance seedling which first flowered in 1993. Originated by Hal and Deane Burch, Citrus Heights, Calif., USA. The anemone form flower has 20-25 garnet red, imbricated, incurved, outside petals, with a smallish centre of red petaloids. Plant is upright, dense, slow growing and flowers mid-season to late. The dark green leaves are 7 cm long x 3.8 cm wide. ACS, The Camellia Journal, Mar. 2004, p.24 with colour photo. Flowers measure 7.5 cm across.
