Desmond Haydon. (C.williamsii). NZCS, Camellia Bulletin, No.171, March 2012, p.15 with colour photo. Regn No.498 A seedling of Haydon’s Compact, pollen parent unknown, which first flowered in 2004. Plant is almost globular in shape, dense, and of medium to strong growth rate. Dark green leaves are small, 6.5 cm x 3 cm. Flower is a formal double, 8 cm diameter x 2.5 cm deep, with about 80 petals, usually cupped, size decreasing to tiny at flower centre. No petaloids. Colour is light pink (RHSCC 65C, shading to 65B at petal edges and centre). Late flowering. Originated by Neville Haydon, Papakura, NZ.
