Doug Haviland. (C. japonica). Australian Regn. No. 527. Applicant and Originator: Alan Truran, 1 Lowe Road, Hornsby, N.S.W., 2077. Seed parent C. japonica 'Prince Eugene Napoleon', pollen parent unknown. First flowered 1994. The single rose-pink flower of 6 petals, RHS 51 B, is veined darker RHS 51 A, 80 mm x 60 mm, and flowers mid-season on a medium, spreading, slow growing plant. Leaves dark green, glossy, keeled, elliptic, 110 mm x 40 mm. Filaments in a column. Flowers shed whole. Flower colour is identical to C. japonica 'R.L. Wheeler'. Commended Bowden Brae Show, 1996. Highly commended St George and Sutherland Show 1997. Winner of Sutherland Rotary Trophy 1997. Application received from N.S.W. Camellia Research Society Inc., 12 August, 1999.
