Elizabeth Tarrant (C. japonica) ACS, Reg. No.2475. American Camellia Yearbook, 1998, p2, with color photo in color inset. 4. A very large, rose pink, anemone form C. japonica chance seedling, mid-season. Originated and propagated by Rupert Drews, Charleston sc. This 16-year-old seedling first bloomed in 1985. Average size flower, untreated, is 6" wide and 2-3/4" deep with 8-9 petals, 70-80 petaloid, yellow anthers and pinkish white filaments. Plant growth is upright and vigorous with dark green leaves measuring 4" long and 2" wide.
