Elizabeth Acree (C. japonica) ACS, Reg. No.2376. American Camellia Yearbook, 1996, p2. with color photo in color inset 3.  A medium, white fading to medium pink outer petals, formal double C. japonica chance seedling of 'Magnoliaeflora', mid-season to late. Originated and propagated by Tom Dodd Nurseries, Semmes, AL. Commercially introduced in 1993. "Ine 14-year-old seedling first bloomed in 1982. AverJ.ge size flower, not chemically treated, is 4" wide and 1 1/2" deep with 40 petals. Chemically treated blooms measure 5 1/2" wide and 2" deep with 72 petals. Plant growth is upright, dense, and average with dark green leaves measuring 3" long and 2" wide.
