ACS Registration #3061. This 12-year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 2011. It was originated by Lillian Gordy of Ocala, Florida and registered by Mark Crawford of Valdosta, Georgia and propagated by Loch Laurel Nursery of Valdosta, Georgia. Bloom: The medium sized 8.89 cm x 6.35 cm (treated 11.43 cm x 7.62 cm) anemone to full peony form flower is burgundy red. It has yellow anthers and white filaments.This profuse bloomer falls in one piece, is long lasting, has heavy petal texture, and consistent form. Plant: The plant habit is upright and dense. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. Leaf: The dark green leaves average 9.52 cm x 6.98 cm with medium serration. Bloom season: Early to midseason.
